When Gluten Intolerance Starts Defining You

Being gluten intolerant changes what you eat. It shouldn't change who you are.

At first, avoiding gluten is a simply practical process. You learn to read labels, ask questions in restaurants, and find alternatives that work for you.

The problem begins when gluten intolerance starts taking centre stage in every social occasion, conversation, and decision. Suddenly, dinners become sources of anxiety. Holidays revolve around food worries. You find yourself saying "I can't eat that" more often than talking about the things you love.

It's easy to understand why. Managing gluten intolerance requires constant vigilance. But when the condition starts limiting experiences, relationships, or confidence, it may be defining you more than it should.

The goal isn't to ignore your dietary needs. It's to put them in their proper place. You're a parent, friend, entrepreneur, athlete, artist, dreamer, or adventurer who happens to be gluten intolerant.

Your dietary restriction is part of your story. It should never become the entire plot.
